Loon Echo Land Trust is a non-profit land conservation organization serving seven towns in the Lake Region. It works with landowners, organizations and municipalities to protect land and conserve the region’s natural resources and character for future generations. LELT protects over 6,000 acres of land with 28 miles of multi-use trails that are open and free to the public. Public uses of the land and the associated waterways include hiking, cross country skiing, snowmobiling, hunting, fishing, canoeing and more. Every month Loon Echo offers an activity on its lands including guided hikes, star gazing, hawk watching, trail maintenance and more.
