When people ask Barbara Bloomgren her specialty, she responds: “Instructing people how to take seemingly complex recipes and prepare them easily while having fun”.
After raising five children and cooking over 10,000 family meals, Barbara decided to leave her sales and marketing career to pursue her passion to enhance family life by teaching the art of nurturing with home cooked meals. While formally studying Culinary Arts she was able to further her education at The Culinary Institute of Canada, studying International and Canadian Cuisine. Six months later she traveled to Bad Gliekensberg, Austria to study Austrian Pastry and Specialties. She is an Active member of the American Culinary Federation and a Chef Instructor for Food Matters. Several restaurant assignments rounded out her educational and practical experiences. Barbara holds a strong belief in the power of shared well prepared food to nurture both our bodies and families.
